Plenty of Room at the Top: The Chinese electronics industry's demand for chips is expected to grow more than 60 percent, to US $80 billion, by 2008. The value of chips sold by Chinese semiconductor foundries will rise even faster, tripling over the next four years. Yet they will still supply less than 10 percent of the market's needs.
