The Audi Metroproject Quattro (four-wheel drive) concept has a plug-in hybrid-electric power train. A lithium-ion battery pack provides an electric range of up to 100 kilometers (62 miles) at a top speed of more than 100 km/h (62 mpg). The engine cuts in when the battery’s charge falls below 20 percent of its maximum.
